Question: What are the main things I should consider before I book an event.

Answer: We like to go over your options for date, location, time-of-day, and services to give you confidence when making final decisions.

Question: What does the non-refundable 15% deposit pay for?

Answer: This fee pays for the time and resources it takes to process the inquiry, consult clients on locations and services, keep a detailed job folder, produce an invoice, pull a permit for the location, contact all vendors, and secure them for the specific date and time of event. This can be all or a mix of several phone consultations, emails, DMs, and text messages. We also send out a call sheet and timeline with all details required to execute your event to you and the production team. It also covers any cancellation fees acquired from other vendors.

The remaining 85% is due the day of your event after all services are performed. This payment must be made before the photos and video enter the editing process.

Question: What should I bring to our ceremony?

Answer: Rings and the marriage license for the ceremony are essential. Other items to consider: water, sunglasses, flat sandals, travel tissues (for tears), and a touch-up makeup kit. Guys, if you sweat, a small bath towel is suggested to keep your face and neck dry.

Question: What if it’s raining on the day and time of my event?

Answer: Most of the time, rain will pass after a few minutes. If the storm is more substantial we try to keep the date and move to a dryer side of the island. Remember a little rain is considered good luck and brings rainbows too!

Question: Is it windy on the beach and will it affect our ceremony?

Answer: The Hawaiian islands have strong trade winds year-round, so you will need to expect some wind. Early mornings are more likely to be calm, the wind usually picks up around noon.

We suggest hairstyles that work better with a breeze. Our hair and makeup artists are accustomed to styling for outdoor events.

During the photoshoot and ceremony the bride and subjects are set in the most flattering direction to the breeze. This way we have a natural “wind machine” to add life to the dress and hair!

Question: How do I know what the floral bouquet will look like?

Answer: Examples of our bouquets can be viewed on Instagram or we can email images. They are produced by a local florist with fresh locally grown tropical florals. We recommend the bouquet be made with the freshest flowers from that week. We can take color requests but this can limit the variety of florals used.

Question: Do I need a beach permit for my event?

Answer: We are required a beach access permit for all events performed on designated public beaches and land. This requires a local business account and proper insurance.

Private property does not need this permit but usually a POI (proof of insurance) form is required.

Question: Is an in-person meeting required before my wedding ceremony in Hawaii?

Answer: Yes, once you complete your online marriage license application you receive a locator ID. This is required before you reserve an in-person meeting which must be completed before your ceremony.

Question: Do I only have 30 days to get married once I complete the online application?

Answer: No, you have 30 days to perform your ceremony after issued a “marriage worksheet” during the in-person meeting with a local Hawaii marriage agent.

We help you through this simple process.
